This second installment of the summer will feature 'THE NAKED KISS'* (1964) by cutting edge director SAM FULLER. The film tells the story of a woman of the streets trying to make a new start for herself in a middle-American small town. In classic Fuller style, though, nothing is what it seems, and the plot twists come hot & heavy!

*As 'THE NAKED KISS' is pre-1968, it is rated 'NR' (Not Rated) -Parental discretion is advised. Thank you for your understanding . . .
THE NAKED KISS* will be preceded by a short film, "SHE WALKS," by local filmmaker ZACHARY RATCHFORD. The film tells the story of a brutal kidnapping gone terribly wrong and stars Julie Van Valkenburg, Chase Parker, Ashley Larsen, and Jinny Marie Jagoditsch.
Meanwhile, DOWN-stairs at Heritage House . . .

Alex is currently looking to cast the lead role of AMANDA, and sides for the audition may be found at the TICKET URL given below . . .
( . . . as well as in the NOTES section of 'The Backlot' page on Facebook)

ABOUT 'THE BACKLOT'
'The Backlot': A Place for Filmmakers is a mixer designed to connect filmmakers, talent, and crew. Typical activities at 'The Backlot' include featured speakers from the motion picture industry, casting calls, and screenings of locally-produced films.
Anyone at any level of expertise who has an interest in learning more about what goes on behind, or in-front-of, the camera is welcome at 'The Backlot'.
For those wishing to 'dive right in' there are also frequent opportunities to get involved with student films, web series episodes and even features.
ϖ 'The Backlot' takes place every 3rd Monday of the month (weather & national holidays permitting! ;-) and doors open at 6:00pm. Presentations by visiting speakers begin at 7pm and are followed by a Q&A and usually run an hour & a half or so.
ϖ Admission is free, however, as food is potluck, it is strongly suggested that
attendees bring a simple side, mocktail beverage or snack to share.
ϖ Plenty of 'relationship-building' time is made available both before and after the main event, so attendees are encouraged to bring business cards and/or headshots with which to exchange information for future collaboration opportunities.
