April Exhibit at River Gallery featuring artists Hollis Fouts, Brad Schwieger, and Sandy Webster
Hollis Fouts' eco-dyed papers are created with organic botanicals, found elements, natural dyes and a damp heating process that transfers the plant's essence into abstraction. Each print is unique and uses locally sourced materials which celebrate the beauty of nature.
Brad Schwieger's ceramic forms are influenced by historical works from the US and Japan. Each piece is thrown on a wheel, then shaped through stretching, faceting, and cutting and reassembling sections into the final form.
Sandy Webster uses paint made with pigment from ground soils, which allow her to affix locales into her works. These paints are combined with found objects, writings from her life's experience and thoughts, detailed drawings, and collage elements to create pieces that invite viewers to imagine their own interpretations.
Event is free and open to the public!
