Res Publica Lectures At Covenant College

Price: Free

This event has already happened.

Professors Mark Holtzapple and Micah Green, both of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University, will challenge the Covenant College community to examine global warming and the resulting climate change from the following perspectives: science, engineering, economics, business, religion, politics, and sociology.

Using Christian views on environmental stewardship as a framework, their lectures will help fellow believers create well-informed personal views on climate change and to determine where they belong in the spectrum Christian responses.

In both public lectures and during a one-credit class, students can expect to develop expertise that will enable them to categorize scientific and engineering claims relating to climate change and energy and understand the economic, faith, and political aspect of proposed approaches to deal with climate change.
