ESA Planning Charity Bingo Event
This event has already happened.
Charity Bingo includes six games of Bingo with a twist … playing for gift cards instead of cash. Anyone 12 or older may play, making it a bona fide, fun event for the entire family. In addition to winning prizes, the event features plenty of food and snacks available for purchase: $5 hotdogs trays that include chips, cookie and drink, with candy bars, popcorn, cookies, chips, sodas and water available for separate purchase.
As an additional means to raise funds, Alpha Beta hosts a silent auction during the event featuring many items donated by businesses such as hair salons, garden centers, grocers, wine and spirits, decorative glassware, restaurants, individuals, and more.
The Walter E. Boehm Birth Defects Center is a local non-profit organization providing services to more than 800 children across the Southeast that are born with neural tube defects, such as spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The Center provides medical, financial and psychosocial support to the patient families.
During its long association with the Center, Alpha Beta has helped to raise funds for more than 30 years, totaling more than $260,000 for the center.
"The generous support from Alpha Beta ESA allows us to continue our mission of making a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable in our community. Funds raised from the Charity Bingo go directly to our medical case management program to treat children born with birth defects of the brain and spine," shares Boehm Birth Defects Center Executive Director Elizabeth Myers.
Tickets are $15 per person. Call Florence Guerin at 706-952-4145 or the Boehm Center at 423-778-2222 for advance tickets.
